AccentHansen bucking the trend
Continued growth and investment despite very tough trading conditions
AccentHansen, one of the UKs market-leading steel and glazed door manufacturers and installers, is bucking the trend of the construction industry with continued growth and investment. Despite a slowdown in the UK construction market, AccentHansen saw double digit growth in 2008 compared with 2007 and so far 2009 is continuing along the same track.
Last summer, AccentHansen invested over £200,000 in a state-of-the-art Rainer punch press which enabled the company to not only reduce its carbon footprint but also improve the production capabilities at its on-site facility. Since then further improvements in machines, processes and investment in training of its multi-skilled workforce have contributed towards the high levels of service received by their customers, resulting in increased orders from both existing and new customers. “Mike McCarthy, Technical Director, Tex ATC, said: "AccentHansens' attention to detail is second to none and I really can't find fault with either their service or their workmanship.”
More recently, AccentHansen has expanded its workforce by creating a new position of Production Manager, a role previously encompassed within the role of Technical Manager. This latest investment is in response to the growing business and a need to have increased focus in each of these areas.
The new position has been filled by Dave Mitchell who has previously worked in a number of management roles within the Hansen Group and more recently at Fendor Ltd where he held the position of Production Director.
Mark Mallen, Managing Director, AccentHansen, said “The growth of the business is a great testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team. In particular we have seen growth within the health, education, transport and utilities markets. The addition of the Production Manager role means we can respond to the demands of the growing business more quickly ensuring our customers continue to receive outstanding service.” |
