Purchase of £350k machine boosts productivity and quality

AccentHansen one of the UK’s market-leading steel and glass door manufacturers and installers announces that it is the first UK door company to purchase a Salvagnini panel bending machine. Although many other companies use this equipment, no other UK based door manufacturer currently does, making AccentHansen unique in the market place.

The last 18 months have seen AccentHansen continually invest in their factory, machines and staff in response to increased customer demand. Dave Mitchell, Production Manager, AccentHansen, comments, “Being able to deliver what our customers need, when they need it, is of paramount importance to us. The Rainer punch press that we brought in June 2008 increased the quality of our products and the Salvagnini panel bender will bring further improvements.”

Dave Mitchell continues, “The Salvagnini machine has many features which will benefit the AccentHansen production line including an automatic tool changer and feed system which will improve the quality, reliability, accuracy and repeatability of the doors that we manufacture. In addition, its speed and flexibility will enable us to revolutionise the design of our doors so we can meet the requirements of customers that we haven’t been able to target before, whilst maintaining our excellent delivery times on steel doors and frames.”

The advanced functionality that the new Salvagnini machine brings will also enable AccentHansen to introduce the desired ‘anti-finger trap’ feature to their products, ensuring that they are unrivalled in the UK door industry.
