Builtec Developments Ltd were established in 1972 as an inventive and practical building and interior contractor. In the last 35 years, Builtec have gone from strength to strength and now offer a comprehensive solution for interior contracts throughout the UK, including pubs, hotels, restaurants, offices, health centres and music venues.  The Leeds Creation project was Builtecs’ first experience of working with AccentHansen, however they were so impressed with their service that since then they have worked with them on a number of subsequent occasions.

 

The Leeds Creation project involved an upgrade to what used to be called the Coliseum Building. Opened in 1885 by Prince Albert, the Coliseum Building has played host to a royalty of international music ever since and is currently a 3,000 capacity venue with eating, drinking and dancing under one roof.  Part of this project involved the manufacture and installation of twelve acoustic doors and security doors in order to upgrade the building to the required level and for this, Builtec chose AccentHansen.

Why AccentHansen?
Having had issues with previous door manufacturers, for this project Builtec decided to go out to tender to six companies, one of those being AccentHansen. Leighton Matthews, Project Manager, Builtec Developments Ltd explained, “AccentHansen ticked all of the boxes, they were knowledgeable, easy to work with and able to supply the doors we needed at the right price and on time. Other door manufacturers haven’t been able to meet my expectations but AccentHansen exceeded them.”

 

Great Service
The Leeds Creation project required acoustic doors built to a specific db rating.  AccentHansen provided detailed technical information during the quotation phase and worked together with Builtec to ensure the doors supplied could be installed onsite without any problems. “The doors supplied by AccentHansen met our requirements perfectly, if we had any questions or issues their technical team responded quickly which meant we could prepare the site ready for the installation” said Leighton.  “The whole team were very professional which made working with them easy.  We are very happy.”

 

The Future
The success of this project, means that Builtec have been more than happy to use AccentHansen again.  “To find a supplier who can give us what we need with the quality doors and seals that we are looking for is a breath of fresh air,” enthused Leighton.  “Our past experiences made us wary of a job like this but AccentHansen make it easier and have given us confidence for the future.  We will definitely be on the phone to them when we need a quality door manufacturer.”
